Sadly Matias does not offer a French layout, despite being a Canadian company.

There is no such thing as a "French language" layout. France, Belgium, Québec and Francophone Switzerland have different layouts (AZERTY, modified AZERTY, QWERTY and QWERTZ respectively). Your best bet is probably to order a French-layout Apple Bluetooth keyboard http://store.apple.com/fr/product/MC184F/A from Apple France. It doesn't look as if they make a Canadian Multilingual BT keyboard, but the iPad has a definition for the French Canadian one.

As for recognition of international keyboards, OS X has this scheme where it asks you what keys are to the right and left of the left and right shift keys when the keyboard doesn't have the right metadata. If you use a USB keyboard, you should not have any issues.

I like your review about this keyboard. What I would like to know is if there is a dedicated French language keyboard, one with dedicated letter keys with the approprate accents on the same key, for use with a Ibook, Ipad, or an Imac. Years ago I bought such a keyboard when I was in Montreal for use with a PC computer that I had. I couldn't get it to work with my Apple brand computers. Do you have any ideas or thoughts on the subject on the subject? since'rement, Robert Quentin Hyde
