My first child, Afsheen Zahra Majid, formerly code-named “Lolo”, was born Tuesday 2012-01-03 at 10:47 AM Pacific Time in San Francisco. She weighed 4,148 grams (9.2lbs) and was 56.5cm long (20.25″) at birth. She has a full head of hair, strong lungs, and bright shiny eyes that were wide open when she came out.
Both mother and child are exhausted and recovering at California Pacific Medical Center, and learning to know one another. I can only watch with rapt attention at the miracle of life unfolding, bursting as I am with joy.

Such wonderful amazing news. And we watch (metaphorically speaking) with rapt attention from afar at this wonderful miracle you’ve been blessed with. So delighted for both of you, and our biggest kisses to the gorgeous baby Afsheen.

We are extremely happy that you are now a 3 person family and that everything works
out well for all of you. I imagine that one day you will show more of France to Shaheen
and Afsheen. Wether you go to Paris or the Riviera we would very much like to be informed in order to find a day when we could meet up with all of you.
We are now almost completely installed in our little town an we start learning to know
some locals here. There are plenty of restarants around the corner from easy going
“brasseries” to exclusive 1 star restaurants (only one).
